  • I drank two to three cups of coffee a day.

I knew that drinking too much coffee could be harmful to my health, but it was not easy to break my old habit.

Actually, I did not feel like my health was getting worse because I drank coffee.

One day, I was suddenly hit with a severe headache when I finished my work: I was so busy that I didn’t even have time to eat that day.

Some time later, I felt nauseous and had a hard time sleeping.

After a few days, I happened to read an article about caffeine. According to the article, when caffeine addicts stop drinking caffeine, they can experience symptoms like headache, fatigue, and nausea.

I thought that the pain I felt a few days ago was probably because I did not drink coffee. So I intentionally stopped drinking coffee for the whole day.

When the evening came around, the headache began to afflict me.

I came to realize that I was too dependent on coffee to the point where I had a problem without coffee in my daily life.

Only then did I decide to break my daily coffee habit.

Whether you have addiction to something or not is determined according to how much control you have over it, not according to how often you do it.

I once heard someone say that if you keep sticking to your bad habits because they do not cause inconvenience to you right now, they can become addictions.

It is good to be careful in advance so that a bad habit does not get settled in your life.

It is the same in our life of faith.

We need to reflect on ourselves to see if we stick to a habit because it is not very noticeable, even though we know it is not good for the soul.

If my habits, though trivial, become obstacles to my faith, I will fix and break them one after another.

Then I will be reborn beautifully enough to stand spotless and blameless before God.
