When I came home from work, I noticed several boxes neatly stacked in front of the door. Assuming my wife had set them out for recycling, I carried them to the collection area and threw them away, quietly satisfied that I had done something helpful. My heart dropped. After hearing what had happened, one of the church members went to find the elderly man who collects cardboard. The boxes had been opened and flattened, and the coffee capsules lay discarded beside them. As I washed the capsules one by one, a thought came to mind: value is recognized only by those who understand it. Like the man who discovered hidden treasure in a field and bought that field, I will cherish the value of heaven all the more now that I know its worth.
