On my way home, I gazed for a long time at the vast night sky filled with countless stars. Though it cannot compare to heaven, simply looking at it brought a sense of healing to my heart.
In fact, a night sky full of such beautiful stars is proof that the afternoon must have been very hot. To see stars shining brightly in a cloudless sky, we must first endure the blazing sun of the day.
The sunlight in New Zealand feels far stronger than in other countries. Yet no matter how intense the heat, brothers and sisters eagerly devote themselves to the gospel, always thinking of our Heavenly Father. Whenever thirst or exhaustion sets in under the scorching sun, we remember how our Father preached the gospel in a suit even on sweltering summer days, and we encourage one another with the words, “Thanks to God.”
It seems as though our Heavenly Father comforts His children—who diligently work for the gospel beneath the scorching sun—with the beauty of the night sky. I give thanks to our Father, who cherishes even our smallest efforts and fills us with overflowing comfort. Surely, the heaven He has prepared for us will be far more beautiful than this. With hope for that heavenly kingdom, I will continue to run toward the completion of the gospel.
