I Have Prayed for You

  • Whenever I went through hardships and trials in my life of faith, I always prayed, seeking God’s help and asking for strength to overcome all of them. One day, a member read me a verse that really moved me.

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Lk 22:31–32)

Even though Jesus foreknew Peter would deny Him even for three times, Jesus never hated him. Instead, He prayed for Peter not to be wavered by the situation, but to have faith so that he could carry out his mission as an apostle of the New Covenant. Reading this verse, I remembered Heavenly Mother. Even today, Heavenly Mother is endlessly praying for sinners who rebelled against Her, so that we may be saved.

“But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail.”

These words keep running in my head. Mother, thank You. Thanks to Your earnest prayer, we do not waver but stand up again even when we are worn out.
