Pressing On to Acknowledge God

One day during a holiday, I went out to preach with a sister. We met many different people that day, but most of them declined to listen to the Bible, saying things like, “I’ve studies the Bible for years, so I already know God,” or “I already go to church, so I’m fine.” Some even told us that although they had spent many years as Christians and had diligently studied the Bible, they had eventually chosen a different path.

Despite their different backgrounds, they all had one thing in common: they were no longer willing to learn about the true God revealed in the Bible.

God came to this earth to lead sinners back to the kingdom of heaven, and He spared nothing if only He could save dying souls. Yet how heartbreaking it is that so many people still turn away. How must God feel as He watches them drift farther and farther from the path of salvation? Keeping His aching heart in mind, I will strive to understand more deeply His love, sacrifice, and devotion. Then I will do my utmost to lead those who have no desire to seek the Savior back to the path of life.
