Spiritual Metamorphosis

  • When young cicada nymphs hatch from their eggs in twigs, they drop to the ground and burrow.

    They live underground for about six years, molting through four instars.

    In the seventh year, they dig their way out of the ground with immense power capable of breaking through the asphalt.

    Then they climb up a tree trunk and shed their skin for the last time.

    After molting into fully formed adult cicadas, they spread their wings and fly freely. This process is called metamorphosis.

    I also need to slough off my sins like old skin many times on this earth.

    It is not an easy process, but I should go through that process so that I can be completely born again.

    I will diligently shed my old sinful nature, dreaming of the day when I will change into a beautiful angel.
