While reading the Bible in the military, one verse deeply resonated with me.
A soldier is not bound by personal concerns. In every circumstance—regardless of mood, fatigue, or hardship—his first priority is loyalty to his nation. This is his calling, his rightful duty.
The same holds true for heavenly soldiers. Whether at school, in the workplace, or in the military, no matter the trials they face, they do not allow their circumstances to hinder their devotion. Their mission is to serve God faithfully and joyfully in their place, giving their utmost to guide even a single soul to salvation.
There have been times in my walk of faith when, even after setting goals to preach the gospel and study the Bible, I found myself thinking, Maybe I can take a break today, or I’m feeling a bit tired today. In those moments, this verse reminded me to steady my heart and remain focused.
I am determined to be a heavenly soldier who remains faithful to God’s word, bringing joy to Heavenly Mother and repaying—though never enough—Her boundless love and sacrifice.
