One early morning in the last summer, I climbed up a mountain with my family. It was really nice to take a walk while we were breathing in fresh air, hearing the sound of flowing rivers and chirping birds.
Then suddenly I came across the roots in the photo. The trees grow heavenward whether the weather is good or bad. Meanwhile, the roots endure the pain of going down through hard soil and rocks in order to provide water and nutrients to the trees. However, people only appreciate the beauty of the green trees while treading on the roots. I felt pity for the roots.
I was reminded of Heavenly Mother. She silently endures all pain and hardship alone until every child of God around the world grows to become a beautiful tree that emits fragrance of Christ. I looked back upon myself, thinking whether I trod on Mother’s sacrifice on my way to the Kingdom of Heaven high above, just as I trod on the roots, climbing up to the top of the mountain.
Mother, I am so sorry to You. I truly give thanks to You for the great sacrifice You have undertaken for me.
