When I was overwhelmed by so many hardships and felt as if I were the only one struggling, I heard this verse in a sermon. As I reflected on it, I realized there could be no one more blessed than me—because I had met the true God and received the promise of the kingdom of heaven. I found myself wondering why I had allowed these struggles to weigh so heavily on me.
Since then, my heart has been completely transformed. Whenever negative thoughts crept or challenges arose, I reminded myself, “Who could be happier than me? With God by my side, what’s there to worry about?” Gratitude would welled up within me, and a smile would blossom on my face. The timid, discouraged heart I once carried became filled with confidence. Holding fast to the truth that our lives are shaped by our thoughts, I began to live each day with gratitude and positivity. As a result, blessings began to multiply and I was often told how bright and cheerful I appeared. Even when difficulties came, I found the strength to shake them off and rise again.
I am deeply thankful that each day with God is a day of joy and blessing. Holding these words in my heart, I will strive to live as a child who brings Him joy.
