  • The Joy of Waiting / Lee U-rim / Ecuador
Living overseas, I sometimes have to wait a little longer for the print edition of Elohist to arrive. But the latest issue is always available on the Elohist website right on time. So as the end of each month approaches, I find myself checking the website again and again, eager to read the new issue as soon as it is released. Perhaps the anticipation makes each piece feel even more inspiring and moving. I give thanks to God for also providing the Spanish-language website. By sharing moving stories, Smile Cards, and other content with local Zion members, I am able to share the love of God Elohim with them.

Passing On Warmth / Lee Seok-cheon / Korea
When I was still new to Zion and everything felt unfamiliar, a Zion member quietly handed me a copy of Elohist. As I read it page by page, I could feel God’s love reaching me through that member’s kindness. That simple gesture brought warmth and light to a time when I still felt out of place and helped me feel the love of our Zion members. I hope that one day, I can pass that same warmth on to someone else.

    A Name I Was Glad to See / Kim Hye-min / Korea
Whenever I open Elohist, the first thing I do is glance through it with excitement, wondering whether any of the stories are by someone I know. This time, I came across the name of a sister I had preached the gospel with in Phoenix, Arizona, during my first overseas mission in 2018. I was so happy to see her name. I am grateful to God that Elohist helps me stay connected with Zion members around the world.

“Sister Denisse, it’s so good to see your name! It’s me, Sister Helen. I miss you. I hope we can see each other again soon.♡”
