My journey of seeking God Elohim began several years ago. As a Christian, I attended church and read the Bible every day. Yet I began to question whether I truly knew God and believed in Him as I should. Searching for the answer, I bought and read numerous Christian books in addition to the Bible. I underlined passages and took notes on every page, trying understand as much as I could. I also frequently visited websites that offered Bible teachings. I was on a mission to grow in God’s word every day and come to know the true God.
Several Bible verses fueled me on this journey.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Mt 7:7)
“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jer 29:12-13)
Relying on God's word, I continued seeking Him. Yet I was also afraid that I might never find God or come to understand His true will. After all, the Bible clearly says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Mt 7:21). It was both terrifying and shocking to realize that even those who performed miracles in God’s name could hear Him say, “I never knew you” (Mt 7:23). Realizing how dangerous it was to practice a faith without truly knowing God, I prayed more earnestly that God would grant me the wisdom to discern and follow His truth, and that I might one day be able to teach His word to many others.
Eventually, I came to realize that the Christian books I had been reading merely reflected their authors' personal interpretations. So I set those books aside and began researching and comparing different versions of the Bible for myself. In the process, I discovered that God was referred to as “Elohim” in the original Hebrew text. Although I didn't fully understand what the name meant at the time, I began using “Elohim” in my prayers from that day forward.
As I continued studying the Bible, I gradually began to recognize the false practices that had taken root in mainstream churches. Sunday worship instead of the Sabbath established by God, Christmas, and the custom of eating and exchanging eggs at Easter all had their roots in pagan traditions. Even in the Old Testament, I could see how much God detested it when His people followed pagan customs and worshiped other gods. Yet people who believed in God were still repeating those same mistakes today. Once I realized this, I could no longer continue attending church as I had before.
Last spring, I was reading about the Passover in the Bible. Although I couldn't fully understand its deeper meaning, I could tell that it was a special and important feast. I felt strongly that I needed to keep it. Since the biblical date for the Passover had already passed, I resolved to observe it the following year.
“God willing, I will keep the Passover in 2026. I don’t know when it is or how to keep it, but I will keep the Passover in 2026.”
Not long after making this vow to God, I drove to a bookstore. Before getting out of my car, I said a short prayer, asking God to let me meet someone there who could teach me the truth. As soon as I stepped out of the car, a man spoke to me.
“Have you ever heard of the Passover?”
Even now, words cannot fully express how I felt when I heard that question. It was the moment I saw years of prayers being answered. I could feel that my entire journey to find the truth had been so precisely and meticulously orchestrated according to God’s plan.
At last, God Elohim revealed to me the truth of life I had been so earnestly seeking for years. Heavenly Father and Mother led me to Zion, where I could keep the feasts of the new covenant that I had long wanted to understand. They heard and answered my prayers, leading me to salvation. How could I ever put such joy and gratitude into words?
Then came the long-awaited evening of the Passover in 2026. I was blessed to receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life, and to become one with Christ. Once again, I give thanks to God Elohim, who was working for my salvation all along, even when I was unaware of it. Having finally found Heavenly Father and Mother after such a long journey, I will love Them with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I will also do my utmost to preach about God Elohim with those who, like I once did, are spiritually thirsty and earnestly seeking the truth.
