We Are One / Oh Yu-jin / Korea
Lately, I have been making a conscious effort to use the “Words of Mother’s Love.” Whenever I read the stories in Elohist about brothers and sisters practicing the same campaign, my heart is warmed by the thought that we are all united with one heart.
Slowly, Twice / Woo Chan-ho / Korea
My mother, who is almost ninety, loves reading Elohist. Every month, she eagerly awaits the new issue, and whenever she tells me, “I read it slowly, twice,” it warms my heart.
Easing My Homesickness / Jeong Hui-jeong / Korea
I have lived away from my hometown for many years now, so I always carry a deep longing for home in my heart. Every now and then, I come across stories in Elohist written by brothers and sisters with whom I once preached the gospel back home. Seeing their names fills me with joy. Though we are far apart, Elohist keeps me connected to them and eases my longing for home by bringing me news of how they are doing.
Rediscovering My First Passion / Kim Min-ji / Korea
When I first heard the truth, I was so deeply moved and filled with joy that words could hardly express how I felt. But as time passed, I grew weary of the routines of daily life and seemed to lose the passion I had at first. It was Elohist that rekindled my passion for the gospel and renewed my spiritual zeal. For months, I had neglected to read it regularly, always telling myself I was too busy. But as the Preaching Festival approached, I longed to regain my passion for the gospel, so I visited the Elohist website. As I read one story after another, I completely lost track of time. Stories of brothers and sisters who bore fruit of the gospel despite difficult circumstances, and others who gained precious spiritual insights from their everyday lives . . . The fragrances of Zion shared from every corner of the world brought me tremendous strength and encouragement. Once again, I felt the same deep sense of joy and emotion that I had experienced when I first accepted the truth. I give thanks to God for answering my prayer and restoring the passion for the gospel that I had at first.
