One of our Zion members holds a dream of overseas mission work, specifically with a vision to preach the gospel in New Zealand. After reading the “Fragrance of Zion” by someone who has already fulfilled that dream, I hope he will persevere to the end—telling himself, “Ánimo!” and “Kia Kaha!” (“Be strong” in Māori)—to complete the gospel work in New Zealand and throughout the world. I will also join him in prayers.

I was deeply moved by the realization that the seeds of the word, when sown with sincerity, will surely sprout. As I prepare for missionary work in Japan, I practice the language every day; though learning a new tongue is not easy, I refuse to be halfhearted. Even when it feels difficult, I will give my best to study diligently and share the truth. I sincerely hope that the seeds of the gospel will be sown throughout Japan and, in time, bear abundant fruit.

While sharing the gospel, I often found myself wondering, “Am I doing this right?” or “Could this person really be a child of God?” This story reminded me once again that when we faithfully preach the word—following God’s will to “preach in season and out of season”—Heavenly Father and Mother will guide us to the souls They have prepared. Setting aside my own thoughts, I will devote myself wholeheartedly to the gospel.
