A Passage Engraved in My Soul

God Put His Children on His Shoulders

  • During the Sabbath day service, a verse moved my heart.

Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep’ (Lk 15:4–6)

One man lost a sheep, but found it later; he put it on his shoulders and went home.

As in the case of the man in the parable, God willingly came to the earth, the city of refuge, to find us, who were lost from heaven due to our sins committed in heaven. And as if finding us was not enough, God even put us on His shoulders to take us back home, the kingdom of heaven. “Putting them on the shoulders” means to “move from one place to another.” I can clearly understand that we can enter the angelic world only when God Himself carries us.

I no longer want to be a burden to Heavenly Mother who has suffered so much, carrying my heavy load of sins. I want to bring a smile of joy to Her. I will repent of myself full of sins and iniquities, and become the children of the light. I’ve been slow until now, but I’ll repent all the time and lead people to repentance as well. God is leading me to life, carrying me in His warm arms. There will be nothing impossible for me to accomplish in the gospel.

I give my sincere thanks to God Elohim for being my comfort and support on the way back to the heavenly kingdom.
