There is a verse that breaks my heart whenever I read it because it describes me very well.
“... But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mk 9:22–24)
The boy’s father disappointed Jesus with his little faith, but his words rang in my ears. Though, with my lips, I acknowledged that God is the Almighty, but I often didn’t pray to Him with conviction that He would surely listen to my prayer. However, with greater faith than before, I pray to God once again.
“I do believe; please help me if my faith is little!”
