It was one Friday. When we just finished our lunch, we heard the news about the water shortage in the whole area of Mandaluyong. According to the news, the water shortage could last from Friday evening until Monday evening, so the people should stock more water before they lost access to the water supply. Having no water for three days was already excessive and it could greatly affect our daily activities at home. The residents were greatly flustered. However, thinking this would not really affect me, I just lived a normal life instead of preparing water.
When I arrived home, I turned the faucet but there was no water, not even a tiny drop. I began to worry then. I didn’t know where to ask for water. As I saw from the window, a lot of people outside were fussing and everyone had their own bottles and pot, looking for where they could get some water. I asked my acquaintances for water but they also didn’t have. Then one sister called me and said she had a little bit of water supply, so we should get water before it was gone. It was such a relief.
After several days, I found that not only our city of Mandaluyong but about six million people in the metropolitan area were affected by the water shortage. The government said it would take another three months before the normal water supply returns. The water level of the reservoir reached the lowest in twelve years and continuous dry season and El Niño caused all this. The rain was really necessary.
Suffering from the shortage, I realized one thing. Water is the important resource for our life. No one can live on this earth without water. In order to live, we need to find the place where there is water.
In the same way, our souls need water. That is the water of life which comes from the Spirit and the Bride. According to the Bible’s prophecy that anyone who receives the living water will surely live and not die, our souls can live when we receive the water of life. God Elohim came down to this earth in the flesh and brought the spiritual rain which is the word of God and poured it on this world which is like a desert.
The water to sustain people’s lives is limited and we have to pay for its cost. The water of life from Heavenly Father and Mother is different; it does not end and anyone who wishes can receive it for free.
Just like the water tank that delivers water to houses with no water supply, we play the role of water tanks that is delivering the water of life to the people who do not have the water of life. We have received the water of life free of charge from Heavenly Mother all the time. We too should deliver the word of the water of life to others so that we may lead them to Zion.
Zions established all around the world are the evidence of Mother’s endless sacrifice for mankind. I imagine the day when all the people will appreciate the value of the blessing of Heavenly Father and Mother and stream to Zion without any hesitation.
