  • I give thanks to Heavenly Father and Mother for choosing someone as lacking as I am to take part in the fulfillment of the prophecies of the last days and for entrusting me with the mission of saving souls.

I had been searching for the truth for many years. I studied Hebrew and even sought out groups that strictly followed the laws of the Old Testament, much like Judaism. I also helped lead a small church and explored many other doctrines. Yet there was always something that did not align with what I had read in the Bible, leaving my spiritual thirst unquenched. In the end, I left them all behind and continued my life of faith, reading the Bible with my family without belonging to any particular church.

After learning that Christmas was not the day of Jesus’ birth but the birthday of the sun god, my whole family made a point of turning off our phones, staying home, and avoiding anything associated with pagan worship on that day. We had also taken to heart that the biblical Sabbath is the seventh day, Saturday, not Sunday, and that setting up the cross goes against the will of God.

Then one day, on my way to work, I met three Koreans. Since my wife had once lived in Korea for several years, I introduced them to her before we parted ways. When I came home from work that evening, my wife told me something unexpected. She said that they had shared with her the very truths of the Bible that we had long wanted to understand. The next time we met, I joined them. They showed us from the Bible that God the Mother exists and that practices observed by most churches, such as Christmas and Sunday worship, differ from the teachings of God. They also taught us about the Passover and the Sabbath, which are observed according to the regulations of the new covenant.

Filled with joy at finally finding the church that held the truth I had searched for so long, my wife, my son, and I were immediately born again as children of God. From then on, we went to church every week and continued to deepen our understanding of the truth. We learned about Christ Ahnsahnghong, who came to this earth a second time for our salvation and restored the feasts of the new covenant according to Bible prophecy, as well as Heavenly Mother, the source of eternal life.

As my conviction in the truth grew stronger, I could no longer keep it to myself. I visited the people I had once cared for while serving as the leader of my former church and shared the word with them. But the only response I received was, “Please don’t come anymore.” Even so, I did not give up. I traveled three hours by bus to my hometown to share the truth with my family. My parents, my younger brothers, my younger sister, and her family all studied the word, and a total of eleven family members received the blessing of salvation. Having come to deeply understand the value of the truth, my younger sister began making the long journey every Sabbath to keep the Sabbath and even led one of her hometown friends to the truth. Today, by the grace of Heavenly Father and Mother, her home is used as a place of worship, where worship services are now held.

My name is Lanka. Sri Lankans often refer to their country simply as “Lanka,” much like Koreans refer to the Republic of Korea simply as “Korea.” My hope is to guide all those who are spiritually wandering in Sri Lanka—the country that shares my name—to the truth. Before meeting the true God, my family went through many difficulties, but now we live in great peace and happiness. My wife devotes herself to preaching whenever she has the opportunity, and my son, who until last year dreamed of becoming a train engineer, now hopes to become a pastoral worker in the Church of God. These are truly blessings far greater than I deserve. Until the day we enter heaven, my whole family will continue to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to fulfilling the gospel mission with faith in Heavenly Father and Mother.
